Beast Attack

So, I promised special effects, here they are!
I've wanted for a long time to do this kind of look and I finally did it! I'm really happy with the result and I think the long way to the 'nowhere-store' for the spirit gum paid off. The idea is something like the effects of an attack by a beast, a werewolf, bear or wolf and my friend, David, helped a lot with this being very expressive and a good guinea pig... oh, I meant model. The photos are taken by my boyfriend and edited by me. He also edited a few, you can see them here:

Fawn

This is my fawn/deer/reindeer inspired make-up look. I don't remember what I used for this, only that there were some sleek and e.l.f. products involved and some white snazaroo face paint. I wanted to do something like this for some time and I finally did it (well, a while ago...). I've seen a lot of versions of this look and I fell in love with it. It's actually quite easy, I may do a tutorial of it but don't know when. I want to do another tutorial (I only have one and I'll post it here soon) so bad but I don't seem to have the time or the mood for it. Hopefully, in the near future it will happen.

Velvet Moon

This is another outfit idea I shot yesterday. I hope to wear this when it's a little warmer outside cause now it's still raining and cold as... balls. Ha ha.. I actually found this on my facebook newsfeed, don't remember who posted it but it's funny...

So, yeah, it's cold as balls...and rainy and I don't feel like doing anything when it's like this. For the past few days I've been sick and hardly done anything productive. I scored some tests for my paper and that's it...oh, I also watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a lot.
Hopefully, today I'm going to be more productive or I'll just post the rest or my outfit ideas that I shot yesterday and dream about shooting some outside cause it's kinda' lame to get all dressed and stay inside like that just for a few photos, isn't it?
I'm also going to post more of my make-up looks and some music maybe.

Phantom Of The Opera

As I couldn't get a ticket to the show, I'm posting my make-up look inspired by it. So they decided to do Phantom Of The Opera here, in Bucharest, and I got incredibly excited about it. When I saw the price, it lowered my excitement a bit but it's not very much, actually it's fair for this kind of show but anyway, I tried to get a ticket but there were only 4 left and got away in a matter of seconds so I couldn't. However, I don't think they'll do only 4 shows so I'm waiting for the next ones and hopefully get a ticket.

I'm going to leave here one of my favourite parts of the 2004 film adaptation (with Gerard Butler):

Also, the Nightwish version of the most familiar duet:
And other verions I like:

Floor Jansen (Nightwish/ReVamp) and Joacim Cans (Hammerfall):

 Sarah Brightman and Antonio Banderas:

Kein Zurück

I can't resist posting the outfit ideas I shot today so there's another one. This one is more like how I usually dress. I really like this blouse I found some time ago in a sh shop and it goes well with long skirts but also with pants and boots.

Also, I have a crush on Peter Heppner's voice lately, so I'll leave a song here.

Red-handed

This is the result of another improvisation. I was about to get in the shower and struggling with my hair (which was twice its size now) I came up with the idea of putting it like this, around my neck and I thought it would look nice in a photo. So I asked my boyfriend to take some photos and then I remembered I have some fake blood and made it a little bit creepier. I really like the result. I don't think of it as special effects cause I just messed a bit with some fake blood on my hands and arms. I'll post some other time real FX make-up.

Experiment 2

So today I look like an old lady. Ha ha. I really like this outfit but as I don't go out much lately (the weather is awful and I have to study and write my degree paper, which, of course I'm not cause I do anything but that...). Anyway, I tried a few more outfits today but I'm going to post them later or the next days. This one, as you can see, has two top versions that I think go well with the skirt. If I were to go out, I would probably wear this and a coat, of course as it's really cold and I'm usually adopting the 'onion' outfit on winters.
I didn't feel like putting too much make-up on so, enjoy my bare face with some Avon lipstick.

I still haven't learnt how to pose full-body, I'm working more on the face part (well, not here...) cause I'm usually interested in taking a good photo of my make-up.

Golden Tears

This is a recent look, actually it's an improvisation that turned out like this.  I also have a different version for the mouth but I haven't edited any photos with that yet, so I'll post it when I edit them.
I don't really remember what I used but surely there's the Sleek Vintage Romance Palette (I just love this palette, it's my favourite, especially the gold eyeshadow). I think I used some of my Mayam pigments and a dark brown eyeshadow for my eyebrows. Also, I lined my eyes with a black pigment and the highlighter is by E.L.F., which is actually a light bronzer; it's very nice and gives you a naturally tanned look (I'm not a fan of tanning but this product is really nice and useful).
Well, looks like I managed to remember most of them after all... haha. :)

P.S. If you didn't know, you can click on the photos to see them better. :)

Experiment 1

I decided to post an idea of an outfit. I'm new to this and I don't know how to pose so I hope it's not too bad. Maybe I'll post more of these along with my make-up looks and reviews.

The Crow

Ok, so I can't help it... I may be going to post a lot today and then forget about it as I often do but let's hope not.
This is my look inspired by the movie 'The Crow'. I guess most of you know it but for those who don't I highly recommend it! It's a great movie about love and revenge. There's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UCqYrHFzdI

I used Snazaroo face paint and a black eyeliner.
The photos are taken by Nadir, my boyfriend; the first one (which is freakin' amazing!) is edited by him and the rest by me.

New start

I've decided to start a blog again and maybe do it better this time. Last time, I only posted photos of my make-up looks but it felt like not enough. So, I'll start posting again with this one, which is my most recent look and put the older ones here depending on my mood.
This one I called on my facebook page (http://facebook.com/nixe.makeup), where I'm more active, "Yesterday's I was bored kinda' look" as I'm not very good at picking names for my looks or for my paintings/drawings.
I used Makeup Revolution Essential Mattes Palette on my eyebrows and on my eyelids, along with an eyeshadow from the Vintage Romance 141 Palette by Sleek. On my lips I'm wearing 'Make It Right' by Makeup Revolution. I don't remember which foundation I wore but I think it's by Max Factor (which I bought online and the undertone doesn't really suit me so I can wear it only inside or I can use it on someone else..haha).
